If you are located in Abu Dhabi and your vehicle is registered in Dubai but you want to change its color, here’s the step-by-step process:
Step 1: Apply for Color Change NOC
- Get the color change No Objection Certificate (NOC) from Dubai Police.
- You need to upload:
- All-side pictures of your vehicle
- Chassis number picture
- A video of the car
- Emirates ID details
- Mention the current color and the desired color of the vehicle.
- You will receive an OTP, after which you can make the payment of AED 120.
Note: Even if your vehicle color has already been changed, you must still apply for the NOC.
Step 2: Complete the Color Change
- After getting the NOC, proceed with changing the vehicle’s color.
Step 3: Vehicle Inspection
- Once the color change is done, you need to take your vehicle for an RTA inspection.
- This cannot be done at ADNOC testing centers; it must be done at an RTA vehicle testing center in Dubai, as the color on your registration card will no longer match the actual vehicle color.
Step 4: Update or Renew Registration
- After inspection, if your registration is due, you can proceed with registration renewal.
- If it is not due, you can simply update your registration card and get a new one with the updated color.
At Car Registration Renewal UAE, we help customers with the entire process, from obtaining the NOC to completing the inspection and updating details with the RTA. If you need assistance, our team is available to guide you step by step.
